Dr Azhani Amiruddin, MA(Hons), PG-Cert., MClinPsych, PhD, MAPS
Principal Clinical Psychologist | Researcher | Clinical Supervisor
Trained in United Kingdom and Western Australia, Azhani works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to formulate comprehenzive formulations and individualise treatment to maximise functioning of patients with chronic illness that span all age ranges. She is empathic and experienced in a multitude of interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and other modalities.
Azhani is currently a Clinical Psychologist for the NSW Public Health Service and has extensive experience in working with the underprivileged, diverse, and international populations at the University of Sydney and across four tertiary hospitals in WA and NSW, where she provides short and long-term evidence based therapies adapted and suited to the needs of the individual.

About Mr Joe Walkden
Joe is a thoughtful and engaging Clinical Psychology Registrar who brings warmth, curiosity, and genuine care to his work with clients. He supports people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addiction, and complex life transitions, and is known for creating a space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore what is getting in the way of the life they want to live.
His therapeutic style is flexible and evidence-based, drawing on approaches such as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Joe works collaboratively to help clients strengthen emotional insight, develop practical coping skills, and make sustainable changes that align with their values and long-term goals.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours, First Class) from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Clinical Psychology with High Distinction from the University of Technology Sydney. His postgraduate research examined substance and alcohol use recovery, and continues to inform his clinical focus on behaviour change and relapse prevention. Alongside private practice, Joe also works within NSW Health supporting individuals with drug and alcohol challenges, while drawing on experience from a previous corporate career to bring a grounded, pragmatic perspective to his work.

Meet Our Practice Manager – Brent
Brent is the Practice Manager at Azhani & Co, handling emails, appointment inquiries, and administrative support to keep things running smoothly. While our clinicians are in clinic or focusing on clinical care on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, Brent is your first point of contact for any inquiries.
Brent does his best to respond promptly, but please allow up to 48-72 hours for a reply. He will get back to you as soon as he can.
Virtually, Brent keeps things organised behind the scenes while maintaining a warm and professional approach. Outside of work, he enjoys making the most of the great outdoors. If you have any questions or need assistance, he’s always happy to help!
