Dr Azhani Amiruddin, MA(Hons), PG-Cert., MClinPsych, PhD, MAPS
Principal Clinical Psychologist | Researcher | Clinical Supervisor
Trained in the UK and Australia, Azhani is an experienced Clinical Psychologist specializing in chronic illness, cancer, grief, neurodiversity, depression, anxiety, and culturally diverse experiences. She takes a warm, evidence-based approach, drawing from Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support her clients' unique needs.
Azhani holds a Master of Arts in Psychology (Honours) from the University of St Andrews, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Studies from the University of Edinburgh, and a combined PhD and Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Australia. She has worked across palliative care, universities, and tertiary hospitals, providing therapy to underprivileged, international, and diverse populations.
Beyond clinical work, Azhani is a researcher in health psychology, focusing on adolescent and young adult mental health in palliative care. She presents at international conferences and is a board-approved Clinical Supervisor.
Azhani sees clients in Crows Nest on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering face-to-face and Telehealth appointments.

Joe Walkden, MClinPsych

Joe is a thoughtful and engaging Clinical Psychology Registrar who brings warmth, curiosity, and genuine care to his work with clients. He supports people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addiction, and complex life transitions, and is known for creating a space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore what is getting in the way of the life they want to live.
His therapeutic style is flexible and evidence-based, drawing on approaches such as Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Joe works collaboratively to help clients strengthen emotional insight, develop practical coping skills, and make sustainable changes that align with their values and long-term goals.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours, First Class) from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Clinical Psychology with High Distinction from the University of Technology Sydney. His postgraduate research examined substance and alcohol use recovery, and continues to inform his clinical focus on behaviour change and relapse prevention. Alongside private practice, Joe also works within NSW Health supporting individuals with drug and alcohol challenges, while drawing on experience from a previous corporate career to bring a grounded, pragmatic perspective to his work.
